General Description
The MY9866, 18-channel constant current LED driver with double latch technology, is especially suitable for extra thin light strip applications. The distinctive double latch technology enhances the visual refresh rate and low grayscale uniformity by increasing LED utilization rate. And the ghost image abatement is designed to eliminate ghosting of multiplexing LED modules due to parasitic capacitors. Furthermore, MY9866 integrates RGB channels into one chip to simplify PCB layout.
The device operates over a 3.3V to 5V input voltage range (±10%) and provides 18 open-drain constant current sinking outputs that are rated to 15 V and delivers up to 25mA of high accuracy current to each string of LED. The current at each output is programmable by means of an external current-sensing resistor and could be adjusted by 6-bit linear global current control for each color group.
The MY9866 provides ±4%(max.) channel current accuracy and ±4% (max.) chip current accuracy.
Additional features include a ±0.1% regulated output current capability and fast output transient response.
The MY9866 is available in a 24-pin QFN package which dimension is 3mm x 4mm and specified over the -40°C to +85°C ambient temperature range.
