3x16 Channel Common-Cathode LED Driver with NMOS Switches for Dynamic 1/32 Scanning Systems
General Description
The MY9748, 3x16-channel constant current LED driver with M-PDM (Multiplex Pulse Density Modulation) control, supports any dynamic applications from 1/2 scan to 1/32 scan. The distinctive M-PDM technology enhances the refresh rate of dynamic scanning systems without increasing the frequency of grayscale clock inorder to prevent from EMI interference. And thetechnique of automatic black frame insertion could abate efficiently the influence of blurs caused by the scanning switch.
The device operates over a 3.1V to 5V input voltage range (±10%) and provides 3 x 1 6 open-drain constant current sourcing outputs that delivers up to 16mA of high accuracy current to each string of LED. The current output of each color group is programmable by means of an external current-sensing resistor and could be adjusted by 6-bit linear global current control.
The MY9748’s provides ±2.5%(max.) channel current accuracy and ±2.5%(max.) chip current accuracy. Additional features include a ±0.1% regulated output current capability and fast output transient response.
The MY9748 is available in a 76-pin QFN package.
